When aggressive progressives and animals that are cornered realize they’re losing, they fight harder and meaner, and no one knows this better than Darrell Issa. He’s head of the GOP House Oversight Committee and the Democrats are going after him big time with a project called “The Third Lantern.”
A website called the Issa Files is looking to post as many public documents on Issa as they can find, and they’ve got the funding to make this happen. “The purpose of this new group is to make public documents more public, make life difficult for Issa and sow seeds of doubt on his investigations,” say reporters Jake Sherman and John Bresnahan covering this mess for Politico.
When Issa revealed who and what he was going to poke into, the Left went wild. Why? They don’t want him to gore their favorite oxen, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Friends of Angelo, and the positively reprehensible intimidation of voters by the Black Panthers.
In an outstanding job of journalism, Politico says Issa wants to “investigate how regulation affects job creation, the roles of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the foreclosure crisis, recalls at the FDA and the failure of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission to agree on the causes of the market meltdown.” The man is looking to toss aside some dirty rugs, put some well paid Democrats on the witness stand, get to the bottom of why Mac and Mae’s abuses let millions of hardworking Americans see their life savings flushed down the toilets of Wall Street.
Just imagine the huge bonuses and golden parachutes people like Mae head Harold Raines took out of there, our bailout dollars that were involved in rip offs like the Chrysler takeover of private property to make greedy entrenched D.C. money types get even richer at our expense. And, to me, letting the Black Panther movement skate in the face of very reliable testimony by an insider lawyer who said, yes, white people were being intimidated, is so very hypocritical that any other Democrat election shenanigans pale in comparison.
So, Issa wants Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to come clean about what part they played in setting up the Community Redevelopment Act years ago that set people up in homes they and their bankers knew they could never pay for. To unleash this contagion, legislators on the Democratic side used their enormous power to put us and our beloved country in jeopardy, and Darrell Issa dares to use his power to look into all of this.
Through his spokesman Kurt Bardella, Issa said, “If we can take any lessons away from the results of the midterm elections, it’s that the American people will no longer tolerate a government that has institutionalized a culture of waste and abuse that acts carelessly with their tax dollars.”
We need to give this man our support as he takes in on the chin for our home team, from a team that always puts their political agenda first. Way to go, Darrell Issa.
