The pages of The Washington Times today reflect the nation’s disenchantment with Barack Obama’s presidency. The op-ed section contains an article by Jeffrey T. Kuhner, president of the Edmund Burke Institute for American Renewal, entitled, “Don’t Go on Vacation — Just GO.”
Last September, Kuhner called for Obama’s impeachment. This year, he’s taken a new tack: Telling Obama to quit:
Mr. Obama is the most arrogant, self-absorbed

A national political organization has joined the growing list of those calling for the impeachment of Barack Obama, citing the separation of powers and Obama’s unconstitutional usurpation of powers. Among its grounds for impeachment is a sentence that could have been written by any small government Jeffersonian: “Obama’s unprovoked assault on Libya is where we need to draw the line on executive overreach.”

Reality is sometimes non-partisan. Although a liberal himself, influential columnist Glenn Greenwald of Salon.com has been consistent in saying Barack Obama is violating the Constitution with his undeclared war in Libya. According to a news report, Obama “will celebrate American poetry and prose with a gathering of poets, musicians and artists at the White House next Wednesday night.” One of the poets who will attend is Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. who goes by the name “Common.” As you will see from this clip, his rap act threatens to shoot police officers. Every April 22 is Earth Day. As one who studies Soviet Russia, I can’t help notice that the day coincides with the birthday of Vladimir Lenin. The inaugural Earth Day occurred April 22, 1970, no less than Lenin’s birth centennial.
