President Obama, the Democratic Party and its members of Congress have spent years blaming former President George W. Bush for the nation’s current economic woes, which is akin to blaming the bank’s tellers for a bank robbery, or for the dishonesty of their bosses, the bank’s executives who were looting the till.
Nobody in the liberal-dominated media bothers to note that in the last years of the Bush presidency Democrats controlled the … Read the Rest of this Post

A national political organization has joined the growing list of those calling for the impeachment of Barack Obama, citing the separation of powers and Obama’s unconstitutional usurpation of powers. Among its grounds for impeachment is a sentence that could have been written by any small government Jeffersonian: “Obama’s unprovoked assault on Libya is where we need to draw the line on executive overreach.”

In election years, candidates inevitably promise voters they will do more than their opponents. In practice that usually means increased debt-spending and expanding unconstitutional encroachments on liberty. Now one Republican presidential candidate has doubled-down on the most blatantly illegal action of this presidency, saying Barack Obama has not gone far enough in waging war-by-decree in Libya — and those who want to follow the Constitution are bead-wearing hippies … Read the Rest of this Post

“In Bin Laden Announcement, Echoes of 2007 Obama Speech,” declared the headline in the New York Times. It’s difficult to find a newspaper that has demonstrated a worse pro-Obama and anti-Bush bias than the New York Times, especially when dealing with the War on Terror. And so, I expected a headline like this in the Times. When I searched Google this morning, looking for a text of … Read the Rest of this Post

“If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” – Isaac Newton.
It seems like only yesterday when crowds filled streets across America waiving hand-scripted signs vowing they would “Never Forget” the atrocities perpetrated against America by al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden on September 11, 2001.
With American flags flying everywhere, it seemed the patriotism of yesteryear had been revived from an extraordinarily … Read the Rest of this Post

They got him. Put a couple of slugs in his face. Then they dumped his body in the sea — something for the fish, which don’t much care what they eat, to feed on.
No matter how you look at it, this was a masterful stroke by a group of Navy SEALs who went about their business with great skill and steely nerves. Naturally, great credit went to the president who stuck … Read the Rest of this Post

After the long-awaited death of Osama bin Laden, the media are finally jubilant – that Barack Obama may get a second term after all.
Reuters led the way within hours of the announcement of the terror mastermind’s death with a piece entitled, “Snap Analysis: Bin Laden Death a Political Victory for Obama.” (You must realize, to the mainstream media, everything is a political victory for Obama.) The piece hallucinated that this death … Read the Rest of this Post

The Libya situation is complicated. I envy no president stuck with the task. Among the complexities, the most daunting unknown is what’s behind the opposition. We would all like to see Moammar Gaddafi tossed to the ash-heap of history, but the rub is who, or what, would replace him. What a tragedy it would be if America intervened only to see Gaddafi replaced by an Ayatollah.

The budget deficits from the first two years of the Obama administration are of sufficient magnitude to spring Dr. “Billions and Billions” Carl Sagan from his grave. Sagan could sue for copyright infringement for misuse of astronomical numbers.
On second thought, the figures now being bandied about are in the trillions, which no doubt would send the venerable atheist skulking back, perhaps muttering something about the “unsustainability” of it … Read the Rest of this Post

Golfing While the Constitution Burns
by Ben Johnson, The White House Watch
When Barack Obama and John Boehner played golf this weekend, they played on the same team. How appropriate.
Barack Obama has violated the Constitution’s war-making power – reserved by Article I, Section 8, to Congress – from the moment he sent American troops into harm’s way without Congressional approval. He has been violating the War Powers Resolution since at least the 60th day of that … Read the Rest of this Post
