There once was a time that elected leaders wanted to be seen as powerful to gain the confidence of their constituents.  But many House Republicans, who now have in their hands total power to end runaway government once and for all, are feigning powerlessness.

These House Republicans claim to be just one-third of the legislative process, unable to achieve anything useful without compromise and a bipartisan consensus.  They grouse that the … Read the Rest of this Post

It takes what a lot of my Jewish friends call chutzpah for House Democrats who ran the House of Representatives since 2003 as if it were their solely owned domain for so long, now to demand a policy of the very bipartisanship they scorned.

With Republicans now at last in control of the House, Democrats who ruled the lower body with an iron hand, and stone deaf to the voice of the … Read the Rest of this Post

As we end 2010 and begin a new year, the media take a look back at the year gone by. We too wish to look back at all the stories this website has broken in the few months of our existence. Some have been ignored, others have been reported nationally — without credit to those of us who discovered them. Nonetheless, we are happy the information has spread and look forward to … Read the Rest of this Post

Joe Miller is the official nominee of the Alaska Republican Party for the U.S. Senate in a contest that has yet to be certified by election officials. Why? Because a federal judge saw a clear set of facts raising serious questions about the election, stepped in and blocked certification.

You would think the Republican Party of Alaska would be supporting its nominee at this difficult time. At a minimum, … Read the Rest of this Post

On election day 2010, more than 70 percent of Oklahoma voters approved State Question 755, which forbids state courts from considering international law or Islamic religious law in pending court cases. However, that measure has been held in judicial limbo by a judicial activist appointed to the federal bench by Bill Clinton. The ridiculous decision can only be explained by the fact that the chief district judge of the western … Read the Rest of this Post

Fraud, illegal voters and ballot box stuffing were widespread this election. Voting irregularities are no longer cloistered in the shadow of big city political machines. When the TV commercials go silent and the campaign rallies end, Americans participate in what they believe to be a fair contest of candidates, but serious problems in voting systems make it unlikely that we can still trust the counts.

FloydReports.com has extensively covered the illegal standard Alaska’s Big Government GOP establishment has used to count write-in votes for incumbent Lisa Murkowski. Division of Elections Director Gail Fenumiai and Lt. Governor Craig Campbell told the media before the write-in vote count began that they would credit misspelled votes to Murkowski, although the law states a vote “may not be counted” unless “the oval is filled in for that candidate and if … Read the Rest of this Post

The name “Murkowski” is somewhat exotic in the lower 48, but in Alaska it is the political equivalent of Smith, Jones, or Johnson. The state has been ruled by a Murkowski for 30 years. Frank Murkowski first ran for U.S. Senate in 1970, but was elected in his second run ten years later. He held that seat until 2002, when he became governor and appointed his daughter, Lisa Murkowski, to his vacant … Read the Rest of this Post
