This afternoon President Barack Obama bestowed the highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, on John J. Sweeney. Sweeney served as president of the AFL-CIO from 1995 to 2009. He is also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Although the labor movement has always heavily favored Democrats, Sweeney’s predecessor, the late Lane Kirkland, was an anti-Communist liberal who assisted Poland’s Solidarity movement. Sweeney, on the other hand, repealed the union’s longstanding rule banning Communists from meaningfully participating in the union.
Sweeney, a former president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), rose to power because he and handpicked successor Richard Trumka believed Kirkland was too moderate. Sweeney became a founder of the AFL-CIO’s Committee for Change, which took the nation’s largest coalition of labor unions in a more radical direction. Sweeney maintained his personal ties to far-Left organizations as a founder of the Campaign for America’s Future and a participant in CAF’s annual “Take Back America” conferences.
Obama may be rewarding Sweeney’s shared commitment to radicalism, or he may simply be repaying a campaign booster. A full five months before the last presidential election, the AFL-CIO’s website boasted, “The unions of the AFL-CIO will collectively devote more than $200 million to the 2008 election,” much of it helping Obama in battleground states like Ohio and Minnesota. The union mobilized more than 250,000 “volunteers,” as well.
Obama has made clear the kind of person he believes is worthy of the nation’s highest non-military award: a socialist and fellow-traveler who dedicated his life to radicalizing the labor movement and promoting Barack Obama’s career.

We people of Balkan Slavic, Middle Eastern, and Near Eastern heritage use a centuries-old gesture of showing someone the bottom of the shoe to say that the person is as low as the ground we walk on, or lower than a cockroach. It is a very serious insult, intended to gravely insult someone without the use of obscenities, and without committing the sin of telling someone to go to Hєłł. Pointing to the shoe while making the gesture intensifies its meaning. The "lower than the dog s*** on the bottom of a shoe" verbiage cheapens the insult by using an obscenity, so let's refrain from that.
I think Obama thought wiht all the others who received this prestigious medal Sweeny would have been ignored. However we all know where Obama’s true alliance’s are and it’s with Muslims and socialists. He has proven this over and over by his apology tours in Muslim country’s and his pandering to the unions but best of all his socialized medicine plan. This country is headed for a depression like that of 1929 unless this man and his party are thrown out of Washington DC in 2012 if you don’t believe that take a look at his budget. He has increased welfare spending almost 65%. Why you ask, because he knows by giving money away to those who aren’t working and many who refuse to work this will gain him votes, and he’s right. Remember he wants to “spread the wealth” to those who don’t deserve it from those who work very hard for their so called wealth.

This got to be a medal that doesn't mean a thing.It's more of a friendship thing and when you give it to poets,sports people,union crooks that shows you it's not worth the powder to blow it to hell.The real people who deserve a medal are all the military that are killed by our presidents.The only thing America should supply to arab nations are rocks since this seems to be their weapons of choice.
