A New Year of Republican Mistakes

by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown

When it’s nearly time to flip the calendar to January, we take stock of the past 52 weeks and look ahead. It is an annual tradition we encourage all to adopt. Why? It helps you to plan and live intentionally.

Our wish is that 2011 will be better for most Americans. While we are pessimistic in the short run, for the long term, we remain optimistic. Here’s why:

The year ended with a flourish of editorials and news coverage hailing a resurgent Barack Obama. Republicans rescued him during the lame duck session, agreeing to billions in stimulus pork in exchange for extending the Bush tax cuts. Republicans will live to regret their accommodation.

Incumbent leaders returned to the head of Republican caucuses in the House and Senate. These are the same leaders, who in 2006 and 2008, destroyed the prospects for Republicans. We predict they will continue to appease Obama in the New Year. Their vacillating leadership will alienate disgusted voters and makes Obama look presidential.

Republicans in Congress showed their disdain for the Tea Party when they rejected the bid of Representative Michele Bachmann to join leadership. She is the best spokesman for Tea Party ideas on the national landscape. Watch as the hard left attempts to marginalize Bachmann as they have attempted with Sarah Palin. Strong conservative women threaten the Left.

The compromise Republicans made with Obama will not spur economic growth. If the tax increases proposed by Obama had been adopted, America would now be headed into a new recession. The compromise legislation should help forestall an immediate double dip, but it will increase hardship when economic restructuring finally is allowed to take place.

Economic growth will remain sluggish at best. Housing prices have not yet hit bottom and will definitely continue falling. Foreclosures will continue unabated and this will pressure the banking system.

The Federal Reserve, under the leadership of Ben Bernanke, has run out of tools to boost the economy. Continued quantitative easing will increase inflation while barely budging the unemployment numbers.

Inflation is all around us.

Gasoline will trend upward to nearly $4.00 a gallon, and could even surpass it. Every additional gallon of oil pumped out of the ground is more costly than ever to produce. Rising gas prices will further drag the economy down.

Official Washington is doing its best to co-op the Tea Party movement. Freedom Works now controls much of the movement out of headquarters in Washington D.C. This year will decide if the Tea Party becomes as toothless as the modern conservative movement. Tea Party activists will be better served by thinking for themselves and following their hearts than the political establishment.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee saw to it that at least three leading lights of the Tea Party Movement, Christine O’Donnell, Joe Miller and Sharron Angle were defeated. While the NRSC claimed to be working to help all three, reports on the ground report NRSC recommendations and strategy severely damaged these candidates’ chances. Feeling threatened, we predict the NRSC will be even more aggressive in stopping Tea Party candidates in Republican primaries in 2012.

As for the 2012 battle for the White House, we expect official Republican politicians will be planning to nominate a make- no- big- change candidate like they did in 2008. Of the current crop of front runners, only Sarah Palin or Mike Huckabee will rewrite the rule book. But instead of Palin or Huckabee, insider Republicans by the end of 2011 will be well on their way to nominating for President a Mitt Romney or Governor Haley Barbour.

Yet we are optimistic for the long run because of “Herbert Stein’s Law,” which he coined when he said “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.”

Deficits will end via a sovereign bond crisis in America. This crisis is already brewing in Municipal bonds. Baby Boomers won’t put up with a cut in entitlement benefits, and American taxpayers are rebelling. A more likely outcome is a direct US Government default or a slow motion default via inflation.

With 2011 ahead, sharpen your pencils, make your plans, and live intentionally.

Floyd: Thanks for the candor and your encouraging Americans, especially the Republicans, to Wake Up ! If the Republicans get back to bickering about potential candidates for 2012 and come up with a vanilla pudding like in 2008, the bama will be licking his evil chops in glee. We need a straight-talker, look-you-in-the-eye candidate, take no prisoners, no milk-toast no-spiners, kick-butt and say do you want some more like a Mike Huckabee. John Bolton is not as well known, but also an honest straight-shooter, too, who has significant experience in dealing with the foreigners( foreign policy and world
sav vy). We need a relentless Republican agenda like bounty hunters…we do not stop until we get the villain and vile congressional bills in custody. If we can keep John Boehner from peeling onions, we may give him mean streak that the demoncrats will fear. Walk softly but carry a big stick…we will keep the bamarat hiding at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave with his badministration pandering leftist thugs…and the demoncrats shuddering at the crack of the stick. OORRRAAHH.

    The Obama Stamp

The Postal Service created a stamp with a picture of Barack Obama. The stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged Obama, who demanded a full investigation.

After a month of testing, a special commission presented the following findings:

    1) The stamp is in perfect order.

    2) There is nothing wrong with the applied adhesive.

    3) People are spitting on the wrong side

    The New Element

The densest element yet known to science has been discovered. The new element has been named "Obamacronium."

Obamacronium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 911.

These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

The symbol for Obamacronium is "O."

Obamacronium's mass actually increases over time, as these morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons in a Obamacronium molecule, forming a large cluster of idiotopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Obamacronium is formed whenever morons reach a critical mass also known as "Critical Morass."

When catalyzed with money, Obamacronium activates CNNnewsium, an element radiating several orders of magnitude more energy, mostly as incoherent noise, since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

    New CEO
The board of directors for a large company, believing it was time for a shake-up, hires a new CEO.

This new boss is determined to rid the company of all slackers, so on a tour of the facilities during his first day, the CEO notices a guy leaning casually against the wall.

The room is full of workers and he wants to let them all know he means business, and wasting time on the clock is not acceptable.

The CEO walks up to the guy and asks, "And how much money do you make a week?"

A little surprised, the young fellow looks at him and replies, "I make $300.00 a week. Why?"

The CEO reaches into his wallet, hands the guy $1,200 in cash, and screams, "Here's four weeks pay, now GET OUT and don't come back!"

Feeling pretty good about his first firing, the CEO looks around the room and asks, "Does anyone want to tell me what that goof-off did here aside from standing around?"

With a sheepish grin, one of the other workers mutters, "That guy delivered our pizza." New Element

Once Upon a Time a Muslim Broke into a House

AMuslim burglar broke into a Christian home one night. He shone his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying "Jesus is watching you." He nearly jumped out of his robe, clicked his flashlight out and froze.

When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, clicked the light back on and began searching for more valuables. Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you." Frightened, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

"Did you say that?" he hissed at the parrot.

"Yep," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I am just trying to warn you."

The Muslim relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who among the Jinn of the underworld are you?"

    "Moses," replied the bird.

"Moses" the Muslim laughed. "What kind of stupid infidel would name a parrot Moses?"

"Probably the same kind of infidel that would name their Rottweiller Jesus," the bird answere

If the tea party let Freedom Works take over it will be a possible disaster and end of tea party movement. I agree that we need to be independent. I got a phone call today from the National Republican Senatorial Committee and I don’t give donations to political committee but to individual candidates only. I knew what they did to several candidates in the general election.

As a very old timer who retired from regular employment at 67, began collecting Social Security at 70,, consultant to the mining industry for a few more years, then 20 years enjoyable retirement that has disintegrated into the Hell of Obamaland uncertainty. Now I have to spend down what is left of my estate in the effort to combat every single Unamerican measure he has come up with. With just 6 years left to 100 I have little incentive to live so long watching my beloved country become history. If Obama survives his first term I hope I die in my sleep soon after.

…Or Shower Daily With Barney Frank

The incoming 112th Congress should repeal the destruction of the "Don't Ask/Don't Tell" policy and resultant homosexual transformation of the military by the liberal "progressive" Democrats of the Lame Duck 11th Congress, and the Obama regime. Let the will of combat troops, who are the most affected, and who most have to rely on those with whom they serve, decide this transformative issue, since it is their limbs and lives which are put at risk in the military, not those of liberal politicians, self-interested homosexuals, or military members not in or likely to be in combat.

Unless and until the action of the Lame Duck Obama-Reid-Pelosi 111th Congress to repeal "Don't Ask/Don't Tell" is itself repealed by the 112th Congress, every member of the House and Senate, as well as Obama and his White House gaggle of liberal "progressives" creating their Brave New Homosexual Military World, should be compelled to shower daily with homosexual Barney Frank in the Congressional gym. If they won't do that, then they should not inflict a similar fate on members of the American military, and their families.

When Americans awake after the Christmas holiday and their traditional New Year celebrations, they will awake in a country very different from the one they thought they had saved in the November elections. Before their newly elected officials could take office in January, and while they were busy shopping for Christmas, congress attacked…

Americans handed Obama’s Democratic Socialists what they thought was a devastating blow in the November elections in which they stripped Nancy Pelosi of her gavel in the House and put Harry Reid on ice in the Senate. Then the people returned to their daily lives in preparation for the Holy Day celebrations and while they shopped, congress attacked!

In the closing week of the lame duck session, the duck didn’t look lame at all. In fact, it was in rare form. Before losing power for the foreseeable future, Democratic Socialists passed the following as a Christmas present to all Americans –

    • They grabbed full control of your food supply via their so-called food safety act
    • They forced our US Military to focus on Gay Rights instead of training soldiers and winning wars
    • They spent a trillion more in money we don’t have, all on their leftist agenda
    • They seized control of the Internet
    • They passed Russia’s START treaty making certain that America is no longer the superpower
    • They expanded labor union powers to prop up corrupt unions in every state at every level
    • They warned all Americans to “expect bad news” in the coming days, as they have allowed our enemies to live among us and cannot prevent coming terror strikes on US soil, in the war on terror they say doesn’t actually exist
    • They made sure that taxpayers were going to pay people not to work for up to 36 months
    • And they only extended tax breaks for employers and investors for another year, making sure that private sector job creation remains stagnate
    • They put a career military officer in Leavenworth for asking who his Commander-in-Chief really is
    • In short, they have done more to destroy this country in the last week than Bin Laden has in his entire miserable life – That’s one hell of a week! They could not have done it without the consent of Republicans and that’s the real story here…

Merry Christmas! Obama is following Hugo Chavez in seizing control of this nation.

It’s a good thing people were too busy shopping to notice, otherwise, people would be storming Washington DC with pitchforks and torches instead of caroling this December… or would they?

Republicans could have stopped all of it, if they had wanted to. Instead, they chose to let Obama, Pelosi and Reid ram all of it through in the so-called lame-duck session so that they could blame Democrats for passage of this anti-American onslaught.

People who think the Republicans they elected in November will shift the direction of this train wreck in 2011 are in for even more surprises. Everything they were elected to stop just passed congress with one exception, amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

Since Democratic Socialists couldn’t quite get that one passed, they are taking a new tact. They plan on erasing US borders altogether.

Had Republicans wanted to stop any of it, they could have. They didn’t!

Meanwhile, White House resident Barack Obama is so proud of his lame-duck accomplishments that he has headed off for holiday vacation in sunny Hawaii, where those anticipated Christmas terror strikes are a little less likely.

If the republicans stay true to form, they will issue in another term for the bummer by nominating someone like Bob Dole that got clinton reelected or this last disgusting nominee John McCain who got the bummer elected in the first place! It is like they WANT these malcontents running the country! Huckabee is too soft on crime and the border, he feels sorry for the poor mexicans who just come over here for a better life! He doesn’t even think that we USED to have laws on immigration these people are BREAKING! OR that they are a drag on the economy by ruining our medical services, social services and housing by getting FREE those of us could never qualify for! As much as I like Sarah Palin, I have doubts of her being elected because of the viciousness of the media and the left. Romney is just a socialist in repubican clothes, would be no better than what we have now. There is NO ONE who has the testiticular fortitude to do what is necessary to save this nation. The republican elite are the reason we are where we are today…the whole republican party needs to be torn down and rebuilt in the imiage in which it was founded in the first place. We don’t need more Doles or McCains paraded out to INSURE the left gets their way as in the past. If we had someone who was not afraid to tell the TRUTH and hammer the opposition over the head with it like the left uses LIES to hammer away at the opposition…we might have a chance. But until the TRUTH becomes the foundation upon which ANY republican candidate places his or her platform, we are doomed. The TRUTH is the ONLY thing that can defeat LIES!
