President Obama’s health care takeover just fought the U.S. Constitution, and the Constitution won.

Earlier today, Judge Roger Vinson of the district court in Pensacola, Florida, issued a 78-page decision striking down all of the president’s heath insurance “reform” as unconstitutional. Vinson ruled the individual mandate, which requires all Americans to purchase health insurance, violated the Commerce Clause. He found that mandate cannot be separated from the rest of the bill, … Read the Rest of this Post

How is President Obama doing as he enters the second half of his first term?

Late-night comics know better than pundits. Let’s start with some of their earlier jokes:

• Jay Leno — “President Obama plans on training 10,000 new math and science teachers. How about teaching math to that economic team of his?”

• Jimmy Fallon — “In an interview with Rolling Stone, President Obama said he has Stevie Wonder, … Read the Rest of this Post

The American Conservative Union (ACU) and the granddaddy of all conservative conferences, CPAC, are endangered. Many of the traditional sponsors that supported the conference through thick and thin years have abandoned ship.

The issue over which the Media Research Center, Heritage Foundation, Family Research Council, and others have left the room is CPAC’s insistence that GOPProud, an organization of homosexual self-proclaimed conservatives, be given a … Read the Rest of this Post

In the State of the Union Address, Obama said: “We are the first nation to be founded for the sake of an idea – the idea that each of us deserves the chance to shape our own destiny. That is why centuries of pioneers and immigrants have risked everything to come here.” In Obama’s telling, this is the reason “why our students don’t just memorize equations, but answer questions like ‘What do … Read the Rest of this Post

As more Americans face the dire state of our union and the heavy toll the Obama administration has required of us all, an ever-growing number are calling for Barack Obama’s impeachment. This week alone, three separate calls for impeachment surfaced – significantly, among Democrats – at least one of them at one of the largest ongoing public rallies in U.S. history: the March for Life.

On Monday, thousands gathered in the nation’s … Read the Rest of this Post

The 2012 presidential campaign has begun. Not being a political junkie, it gives me no pleasure to report this phenomenon. And no further proof of this assertion is needed than Barack Obama’s tactical shift.

You may recall, during the first two years of his presidency, Obama’s statements that he didn’t care if he turned out to be a one-term president. So dedicated was he to his progressive agenda, so … Read the Rest of this Post

President Obama’s State of the Union address said more about the state of his approach to governing than it did with the present condition of this nation under his governance.

It was an uninterrupted march of platitude upon platitude, with nary a solution offered to any of the problems facing the United States.

As anyone with one cent’s worth of intellect understands, the United States is not only broke, but up to … Read the Rest of this Post

Red Carpet. Camera flashes. Black ties. Fine China. Hollywood celebrities. Colgate smiles. All the bells and whistles you’d expect for a visiting Head of State, albeit dictator, Hu Jintao. Sure, China has oppressed Tibet for decades and the rights of women even longer, but it’s hard to bite the hand that feeds you – especially when you are guest for dinner.

The noted Nobel Peace Prize recipient, President Barack Obama, pulled Read the Rest of this Post
