If the Obama administration has its way, Arizona’s immigration law will be evaluated by a nation the State Department considers a human rights abuser.
Barack Obama included a reference to the Arizona law in America’s first-ever report to the UN Human Rights Council earlier this month. On November 5, a troika of nations composed of Japan, France, and Cameroon will hear the case against the United States and suggest a plan of action for the … Read the Rest of this Post
It’s not bad enough the Obama administration has hauled Arizona before the United Nations “Human Rights Council” for its overwhelmingly popular immigration law. Last night, Governor Jan Brewer told Greta Van Susteren the administration did not have the decency to tell her the state’s lawmakers had been put on the same level as Cuban jailers and North Korean torturers. Instead, Brewer said she learned about the lawsuit “on the internet.”
Last weekend, Al Sharpton hoped to outshine Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally with a left-wing, racial grievance gathering of his own. Like Recovery Summer or the health care town hall meetings (which were intended to build support for ObamaCare), it fell short of the mark. But the Obama administration did everything it could — perhaps more than it could legally — to to turn people out for Fat Albert.
Glenn Beck’s remarkable rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial Saturday was a wake-up call for his beloved America. This nation, he reminded us, is and has been since its founding a nation under God. Failure to recognize our absolute dependence upon God, he said, has put this nation in peril.
His warning echoed that my father once delivered when he told Americans, “When we stop being a nation under God, we … Read the Rest of this Post
Arizona is fighting back against the Obama administration’s decision to haul her state before the United Nations Human Rights Council. Governor Jan Brewer has penned a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Friday expressing her “concern and indignation” at the administration’s report to the UN, which cited a federal lawsuit against Arizona’s immigration bill as part of its efforts to fight human rights violations. This author was the first person to report that … Read the Rest of this Post
Sometimes I feel like I am in an amusement park funhouse as I participate in the present conservative movement’s battle to confront our culture: The mirrors are distorted; the corners are dark; and a new shock is waiting around every corner.
The latest shock is the capitulation of Ann Coulter to LGBT activists. She has proudly announced her acceptance of a speaking engagement before a group called GOProud. This is an organization that claims … Read the Rest of this Post
In the past, conservative uprisings have been put out when Republicans came to power. Bill Clinton’s first term — loaded with a broken promise to cut taxes, a tax increase, gays in the military, HillaryCare, Jocelyn Elders, Lani Guinier, Paula Jones, and Whitewater (to name a few scandals) — enraged most of the country. But after Republicans came to power in 1994, the nation simmered down — even when the Republican leadership backed down on … Read the Rest of this Post

The Democrats’ “Cash for Clunkers” program had one major impact on the market: it raised prices almost $2,000 per car in a way that disproportionately hurts the poor. And Obama’s Green Left advisers could not be happier.
The automobile industry authority Edmunds.com has found used car prices are up 10.3 percent over last summer. The average used vehicle costs $1,800 more than it did one year ago. The price hike is even … Read the Rest of this Post
